KIM TUHRO
Background: I have always loved fitness and played many sports growing up. Before coming to the DRC, I was a personal trainer at the Y. Building relationships, helping people, and exercise are all very important to me, and personal training is a wonderful combination of all of these. I am also a Wellness Instructor for the DRC, teaching a variety of classes including diabetes prevention, weight loss, and digestive health.
Philosophy: Make exercise and a healthy lifestyle fun! Find exercises and healthy foods that you enjoy so that living healthfully is a delight, not a drudgery. I strive to tailor to all clients' unique needs and goals and support and encourage them every step of the way.
Experience/Specialties: Weight loss, diabetes prevention and management, express workouts, and running
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology
- Prevent Type 2 Diabetes Lifestyle Coach Certification from the CDC
Favorite Exercise: Group exercise dance classes, dumbbell strength training, and walking outdoors (often pushing my kids in a stroller)
Hobbies: Playing with my kids, exercising, reading, writing, and singing
Go-To Snack/Protein: Plain Greek yogurt topped with pistachios/Salmon
