Download the forms at or call 788-3781.

The last Wednesday of each month the Derby Walks initiative will host a social event on the DRC track. Health and wellness tips will be available, blood pressure can be taken, and guidance will be given on how to make your walk more enjoyable. If you’d like to find a walking partner that can be arranged too. Come walk and enjoy a little social time with other walkers.

Consuming too much of the sweet stuff can have negative effects on your health contributing to obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer and tooth decay. Join Janea Trapp, Ideal Protein Coach and owner of NuLife Insights, for a discussion on what you can do to change your health and the health of your loved ones by following some simple guidelines to reduce or eliminate added sugars from your diet.

May 17, 6:00 p.m., American Flyers (a bicycle movie)

Written by the author of Breaking Away, American Flyers stars a mustachioed Kevin Costner as a cyclist and sports doctor who convinces his younger brother to train for a three-day bike race through the Rockies called “the Hell of the West.” It’s pure ‘80s, over-the-top silliness with some entertaining racing scenes.
